1. Courage always involves sacrifice or loss. (AGREE/ DISAGREE)
Why or why not?
2. When a hero is born, he or she is already different from other people. (AGREE/ DISAGREE)
Why or why not?
3. Someone can be considered a hero only if they win. (AGREE/ DISAGREE)
Why or why not?
4. If a person does something heroic but gets something out of doing it, like a reward, then she or he is not a hero. (AGREE/ DISAGREE)
Why or why not?
I think courage not only always involves sacrifice or loss but is defined by that. No, I think heroes are often born in unusual circumstances but I do not think they are born that way, they develop into heroes. I disagree, heroes are people that might lose, but they don't give up. Sure, a hero is not always someone that's totally unselfish. - Jesse Higgins
ReplyDeleteSide bacon, or streaky bacon, comes from pork belly. It is very fatty with long layers of fat running parallel to the rind. This is the most common form of bacon in the United States. Pancetta is Italian streaky bacon, smoked or aqua (unsmoked), with a strong flavor. It is generally rolled up into cylinders after curing. In America unsmoked streaky bacon is often referred to as side pork. - Foxy Vance

ReplyDeleteA great costume, some sweet kicks, no job, and a lot of spare time.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, your hero could be a complete isolated loser who has no courage and has lost nothing, but has good intentions. In the comic Kick Ass Dave the main character is completely normal. What makes him create his alter ego Kick Ass, is the fact that he is completely bored out of his mind. What determines a hero is his actions and determination. I disagree on this final question because, the person may not have intended on getting a reward for doing the deed. Look at Super Man, he fights crime does good but always gets some sort of gift of gratitude such as the key to the city.
ReplyDeleteI think that Canadian bacon or ham is possibly one of the best bacon types on my list of types of bacon. Canadian bacon is tied with pancetta for my favorite type of foreign bacon.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because your character might not be a hero but might want to do something good such as fight of bad people. I disagree with the 2nd question because they might later become a hero in their 60's. I say yes and no for the third one because they might not win for themselves but save others. No because if somebody is attacking the United States and no one asked him to do it and is rewarded later it was still their decision they were not forced to do it. - Jacob Gavin

ReplyDelete1)I disagree and agree because normaly "heroes"dont have to lose something to gain something(courage)they know what they must do and when the must do it. Sometimes the "heroes"must lose something to reilize that something bad is going on or he is in danger. For example: Harry potter loses his mom and dad. Spiderman loses something. blues clues loses his handy dandy notebook! The finger from night of the dreaded finder loses his trusty sidekick mstir fngrnal(spelled exactaly like that).
2)I disagree because normally heroes dont have their powers allready when born and normally they arnt allready told while being born that their whole way of life is about to change.
3)I disagree with number three(rhyme!)because if someone/somehero loses and they have detiremination and trys again and again thats one component of a hero;leadership, Braveness, ditrmination, courage and some nice smelling deoderent(That last one is the main component).
4)Disagree, because if someone does somthing and gets a reward without trying to he is still a hero.
you can have courage even if there is no sacrifice or loss, but if there was one it shows even more courage. yes, all heroes are born differently, just like us they have all different personalities. no even if you lose, you are probably seen as a hero in someone else eyes. if they ask for a reward they are still a hero just greedy in my opinion

ReplyDeleteWhat makes a hero is entirely up to the to your values.
ReplyDeleteyou can have courage with out sacrifice or loss. it takes courage to do what most heroes do. it depends on what kind of family that you are born into, and where you are born. no. heroes in real life are sometimes remembered because they died to protect others. even if nobody gives them any thing they have the satasfaction of doing the right thing.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to have a loss of sacrifice to have courage. You do not have to be born a hero batman was super rich and he had all these gadgets and spider man got bitten by a mutant spider later in life. You can be a hero if you lose, like if someone sacrifices their life (the ultimate loss) but normally I think of heroics if you win like late game heroics. If someone saved someone from a burning building for a reward he still did some thing heroic.
ReplyDeleteI disagree because you don't have to have a sacrifice or loss to be a hero. I believe that not all heroes are born different. Some people become heroes when they do something great. I disagree because a hero could do a great thing like save someone. I disagree because getting a reward doesn't take away the heroic thing you did.
ReplyDelete1. I disagree that courage should always involve sacrifice or loss. Courage could just be something like driving a car for the first or do something you never thought you will be able to do even just telling the truth to someone even though you know it will hurt them.
ReplyDelete2. I disagree that when a hero is born it is already different from other people. For example spider man got his power when he was in high school or bat man.
3. I disagree. I believe that a hero doesn’t have to win every time because a good hero should know when to give up.
4. I disagree. A hero is not expecting a reward it is just a bonus.
I do not agree that a hero having a sacrifice or loss.I also think a hero is most likely later on different from other people.I think if a hero wins her or she is considered a hero. i think that if a hero do's a heroic think he or she sould get a reward.
ReplyDeleteP.S THIS I FOXY VANCE PEACE OUT BROTHER!!!
1. I disagree because evrybody is different and just because you dont fit in with others does not mean you have sacrificed or lost.
ReplyDelete2. I disagree because heros dont always have their powers when they are born.
3. I disagree because a hero may lose the first battle but then win the second battle.
4. I disagree becuase if he gets a reward for doing the right thing does not mean they are not a hero. -Lindsay Bonner Sorry it's late.
