For example, my favorite cartoon would have to be Monsters, Inc. I love the idea that Sulley is just "doing his job" when he scares kids and harvests their screams. The way that Boo says the name "Mike Wazowski" never fails to crack me up, and I love the theme at the end, the idea that people and corporations can change for the better. Pixar animation amazes me. Boo is adorable, and the way that Sulley shifts from like-able guy to ferocious creature shows the richness of the animation. Of course, having John Goodman and Billy Crystal as voices adds a layer of humor to the movie. Overall, it's a triumph of storytelling and animation, and a heck of a good film!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite comic would have to be Kickass. I like how its just about some random nerd who happens to be really into super hero's and comics. I also like how he just decides to go out and try to fight off bad people. He might get beat badly in the beginning but he sure does get better at fighting. The person who helps him get better at fighting is a young girl too so that just adds to the humor in the story. Overall I think its a good story, very funny, and action packed. - Jacob Gavin
ReplyDeleteMy favorite comic has to be Nemesis. The worlds most infamous super villain. The story is about a super villain who is trying to kill this cop. Every move Nemesis takes is planed out with a great deal of thought, his riddles are works of art, and his team is only the best. I would recommend this book to older readers. The book is extremely graphic and inappropriate. Found the comic to be a extremely good read. - Logan Ralls
ReplyDeletemy favorte cartoon would probably have to be the boon docks which is this show on adult swim about this two crazie kids who are brothers. and they just do outrageous stuff every episode. this show has a lot of language and crude behavior and inappropriate for younger viewers.-myles A-Y
ReplyDeleteMy favorite comic would have to be Calvin and Hobbes. I like that to other people Hobbes is a stuffed animal but to Calvin he can talk and walk. I like some of the stuff Calvin does like play Calvinball and have a club called G.R.O.S.S. I also like Calvin's Dad and his character builders.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite animation is a movie called The Iron Giant. It has ben my favorite movie since i was a little kid. It starts off following a kid who's mom works long nights at a diner. The kid brings a box into the diner and shows it to his mom and says its a new pet and she groans "Not Again", but as he opens the box, he realizes the pet isn't in the box. He then searches the diner until he meets a guy who says the pet is up his pants. The story goes on and he finally finds a pet. -jesse
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jacob. Kick Ass is a extremely good graphic novel. I am sure Jacob will be happy to know that Mark Millar has already made three Kick Ass comics that will be a sequel to his first graphic novel.
