Write a summary of a book you read over the break! Your summary should include a description of the setting, characters, and major conflict. Below is a great example book summary from Airborn:
Matt Cruse is a cabin boy aboard the luxury passenger airship Aurora when the ship encounters a battered hot air balloon with an unconscious man aboard. Before dying, the man claims to have seen beautiful creatures swarming in the air over an uncharted island. Not until a year later, when Matt meets the man's granddaughter, Kate de Vries, who boards the Aurora, does he learn that the man wasn't hallucinating. Pirates board, rob, and kill, and a fierce storm grounds the Aurora on the very island that Kate's grandfather spoke about--which proves to be the pirates' secret hideaway. Though readers will need to suspend disbelief of the mysterious flying creatures, which Matt and Kate call "cloud cats," details of life and work aboard the ship as well as the dramatic escapade itself make this a captivating read. Katniss Everdeen is a girl who has gone into the Hunger Games twice in a row. After escaping both times she learns that she is to be the leader of a rebellion against the Capitol. Her hunting buddy Gale (whom she seems to like) and her friend Peeta, along with a few other people decide to go into the Capitol. Upon entering the capitol's defenses she immediatly finds trouble. She cannot control Peeta whom had been hijacked by the Capitol. She manages to save Peeta and survive until the rebels can help her take over the Capitol. When she is abot to kill President Snow of the Capitol, she decides to shoot President Coin of the rebels instead. After a long trial she is claimed free to go. She eventually marries Peeta instead of Gale her hunting buddy. -Lindsay
ReplyDeleteOver my fall brake my family and my mothers family all went down to the Outer Banks for five days. When I was walking along the beach I saw a fishing net all in a ball ,as I walked closer to the net I realized that a baby shark inside off the net, dead occurs then as a undid the net I found a another shark in it! On thanksgiving my dad and I watched the lions packers game then we all pigged out with are thanksgiving dinner ,which my mother made so perfect. On the lat day I was on the beach I wounded to go swimming but the water was 59 degrees but that did not stop me to go head first into the water , I shot up so fast out of the water screaming like a little girl! So that was the recap of my brake hope you like it.
